WELCOME

The Douglass Club of Austin was established to provide
 an avenue for African-American women to address the needs of their family,
community, and nation, by addressing issues that improve quality of life.

ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION

The Douglass Club is a nonprofit women's social and cultural community organization with 112 years of outstanding service to improve the quality of life for all citizens. It is the oldest African-American women's service organization in Austin and Central Texas. The organization was formed in 1906 to provide an avenue for African-American women to address the needs of their family, community, and nation, by addressing issues that improve quality of life.

YOUTH OUTREACH

The Douglass Club has a special emphasis on providing educational opportunities for youth in their formative years. For over 100 years, it has provided youth scholarships, good citizenship awards, aid to the elderly, and contributions in the community.

SERVICES

The Douglass Club is a nonprofit women's social and cultural community organization with more than 110 years of outstanding service to improve the quality of life for all citizens.

ABOUT US

The Douglass Club of Austin was organized in 1906 and joined the National Federation in 1912, the State Federation in 1914 and remains in good standing.
